CORD is a small team of practical Civil and Structural Engineers based in Beaminster and working across the South West. We work on residential new builds and extensions as well as commercial buildings, inspections, bridges, repairs and temporary works. We are happy working in all structural materials including steel, concrete and masonry, with timber construction being a favorite.  We offer creative solutions to technical challenges using our knowledge of construction techniques and cutting edge design tools..

We chose the name CORD because a Cord is a traditional unit of measure for timber volume. Since Engineers love to measure we thought this would be an apt name for an engineering company with a passion for Timber! A Cord is approximately 4′ high x 8′ long x 4′ deep.
